2 groups, one island. One group is going to want power on this island sooner or later. I think this could lead to many problems on this island. Violence is one thing that comes to mind because the 2 groups may be rivals and the hunger for power could lead to a war over the island. This could have very many negative effects, but will make for excitement in the book. If I was Ralph I would focus on being the best leader possible and stay brave and focused. I would not panic and stay calm so I could deal with the obstacles that come my way and handle them like a good leader should.
Many problems will be arising as these two groups become more and more distinct. Jack's group is turning more savage; they're in to hunting and killing things and don't really care about the actual necessities; they're just their to have fun. Ralph's group is still a bit civilized, they know what they need to accomplish in order to stay alive and are more mature about the situation; which is where the problems come into play. If Jack's group is in to killing and being savages, then they probably won't have a problem killing anyone that gets in their way. So there may be some violence between the two groups and competition for food, water and shelter. There may be some death of the littlun's because they may take Jack's side but he isn't there to babysit and they may starve to death or die of a heat stroke. Another problem may be that Jack's group goes to a different part of the island and if one of the two groups actually is rescued the other group may not be because they aren't together. If I was Ralph I would blow the conch again and say listen here, we all want to live and get off this island so we need to cooperate and get the job done. We can't afford to break into two separate groups because we need all the help we can get. I would just remain calm and tell the boys how it is and maybe they will get a reality check and realize that they are in a do or die kind of situation. Ralph really needs to take control because he is a natural leader; he needs to take advantage of it. Unlike Jack where he's just cocky and thinks he's a good leader when really he's too immature and close minded. Ralph may need to have a talking to with Jack because he needs to know that they can't fight and they are in this together and that they don't need to be enemies.
Now that there is two groups on the island, I can see a lot of conflict in the near future. The reason that two groups formed is because some of the boys did not agree with everything that Ralph was doing. I can see a lot of violence between both groups because each group thinks they are correct. There is already tension when Jack and the other hunters come back without a pig. Ralph is thinks that the hunters are using their job to avoid doing the other work such as building shelters. Jack views hunting as most important where Ralph views other things as most important. The discrepancy between the two leaders causes tension between the groups whether they realize it or not. Jack is very determined to kill a pig. He will not let anything wreck his chances of finally proving to the boys that he was the one who should have become the leader, not Ralph. I think that once Jack crosses over the line of innocence, he would be willing to kill anyone or anything that got in his way. If I was Ralph, I would gather all of the boys together and tell them in order to survive, we all need to work together. Yes, getting food is important, but so is building shelter. I would tell the boys that we need to split the jobs up more evenly so that the amount of work was equal between everyone. If the boys wanted to survive, they would listen to Ralph, but if not, they wouldn’t last very long. The boys need to figure out how to compromise and work together or else none of them will survive long enough for someone to come and rescue them.
As the two groups become more defined, many problems will arise. The boys will try to start their own "colonies" and start fights between the two groups. Neither one will actually care about the members of the group or their well being, just about having a better tribe than the other group. Jacks group only cares about doing what they want to do and what is fun, not what is a necessity to survive. Ralphs group is focussing more on the things that are necessary for survival. They are trying to build a shelter, and fire so they can be seen by ships and aeroplanes. If I was Ralph, I would try to do both of the things each group is focussing on. It is true, they need food, but also shelter. If Ralph could show that both of those things are important to him, everyone would listen to him more because he is showing interest in what they are concerned about.
Two groups are rising on the island and this could cause some serious issues. Jack and his buddies are forming a group, but they are becoming very violent and eager to kill. all they want is food, but they could do it in a more civilized manner. This is a problem because Ralph is the chief but now that Jack is gaining some power he might want Ralph's position. Jack would be willing to kill to gain the power he wants and this is a major problem. Remember guys, violence isn't always the answer! Jack's group that is forming is more one that wants stuff done. They want a shelter built, and food found, etc. The conflict between both groups could be damaging to everyone. Such as the littleuns, they are just young and will do whatever someone else is. So if they see a big fight or something they could be influenced to do the same. If I was Ralph I would try and remain calm and try not to do anything rash. Everyone needs to see a stable leader. I would blow the conch to have a meeting and try to address the issue without angering Jack. What Jack's group is trying to do is good, but they need to do it in a better way. Ralph should try and reach common ground and achieve the goals of both groups.
The 2 groups in the island are the group of wanted to be rescued as soon as possible, and the other group is doing anything to survive until they get rescued. There's a huge conflict about these to groups because the groups will encourage each the other groups to do what they think they should be doing in the scenario which might cause violence or war something like that because not of all will agree with each other's ideas. If I were Ralph, I will encourage the people who likes my ideas , I'm pretty sure not all people will agree with it, but if their some, it can help to regain my focus and control.
The two groups forming on the island have different goals. Jacks group is more savage and enjoys killing the pigs and is not focused on important things like keeping the fire going. They do not want responsibilities they just want to kill and have fun. Whereas Ralphs groups is more focused on being realistic with survival. They want to build shelter and be rescued as soon as possible and will do whatever they can to make the island living as 'homey' as possible. This will cause problems since Ralph is the chief but Jack is not respecting his orders. Jack is instead doing what he wants and hunting when they need shelter more. I think that the boys will split into two different groups completely and have a rival. This will cause tension on the island that is unnecessary since they should all be working together to survive not competing for a higher rank. If I was Ralph I would stay calm and try to have a meeting to work things out. If I act too aggressive Jack would be more encouraged to go his own way. So I would try be understanding but prove to him why shelter and the fire is more important for now. That way there would be a possibility that everyone would have the same priorities and realize what is more important at the moment.
One group will most likely want to have power. In order to keep control/focus you would need to have absolute control and not let anyone else use that power. The other group will most likely want to run around and play. With both groups you will have to know how to make them listen and actually work under authority and will having fun. I would make the "jobs" into games for the little one, as for the other "leader" group I would not let them command anyone around unless we had small groups for certain "jobs" then I would have a leader for that group.
Two groups on one island is bound to cause many problems. Jack and his choir boys are separating from the main group, and becoming violent with unorganized priorities. All they want to do is hunt and kill, to provide food, and also so Jack can redeem himself for not killing the pig when he had the option. Ralph's group on the other hand is more organized and prioritized. They are continually working to make shelter and keep everyone safe. The issue with having two groups though, is there will be a fight for power and resources, which can potentially result in a war. If I were Ralph, I would try to regain control by reassigning jobs to the people. I would also try to show Jack the importance of everything else, so he would possibly focus on more than hunting, and the groups could become one again.
there are two groups on one island, two groups will be very toxic on the island because one group will end up getting pushed out and I think one group will end up with more power. Jack's group isn't that organized compared to Ralph's group I think Ralph's group will be in the power because they are more responsible. if I was Ralph I would try making both groups come together as one and cause less fighting, come to agreements and make sure everyone is happy. :) because being a leader is making sure everyone is happy.
With two groups on one island there are many differences and preferences of each group that are going to cause problems. Jack wants to be a leader and I believe he took one of the biggest responsibilities with taking on the group of hunters. The hunters are more involved in playing and less in actual hunting and Jack doesn't care. Jack is only worried about not looking bad to everyone else on the island so when he was given the chance to be a hunter he jumped on that and it may not have been the best decision on his behalf. Food is an essential to live and Ralph understands that. I think that Ralph is a lot wiser when it comes to surviving and understands that shelter and food and water are all factors in surviving and when Jack doesn't do his job properly that affects everyone's survival and Ralph values that heavily. With both groups valuing different things and having different maturity levels it will cause lots of problems on the island. If I were Ralph I would most likely realise that Jack isn't going to listen and send other more trust worthy people to do the job or everyone focus on one at a time. If all else fails I would do it all by myself and I think that things would get done that way.
having 2 different groups on the same island could have issues like a rivalry but there are some ways to avoid them, set boundaries, set rules ect.
The two groups on the island, are gonna have conflict. One group could have one set of of beliefs and values for the island, why the other could think different. E.g. The better group of the two is TRUMP, they want to make the island great again. The other group is Hillary, they're just gonna run it to the ground and do stupid stuff that result in them all dieing. Ralph should try and reason with the other group, and get a peace treaty going. If they want to have 2 groups, let them, but try and run equal power over the island
Two groups are begining to emerge on the island and this is already causing problems lots of the kids have input at the meetings they just don't do anything they suggested. Other problems such as using hunting to get out of making the much needed shelters for the kids. Eventually this is gunna end in violence and war between two factions that arose from these young kids. The other group wishes to rebuild the world that they had lost they must use rules and set standards from the world and life they had lost.
The forming of the two groups cannot end well. The forming of the two groups means that there will be less hands around to help with the big tasks and it also means that they will be able to gather less food because again there won't be enough hands around to complete all the jobs that must be done in order for them to survive on this island. The fight between Ralph and Jack can also have a negative on the younger ones as it could cause them to lose hope seeing that the two people that they look up too,the leaders of the group fighting and beginning to part ways. If I were Ralph I would blow the conch and hold a meeting as soon as I got a few hours to think about what is going on. I would hold the meeting to make sure that everyone is on the same page and bring the group back together before it's too late and Ralph and Jack become split of ways and the group follows.
One could push the other group out and they'll probably end up killing each other or starting a rivalry, it could be avoided by setting boundaries and having rules. They may be able to get along but it's very unlikely
